Brandy Benson, Psy.D.
CEO, Chief Psychologist
Dr Brandy Benson, CEO & Chief Psychologist of TBPA, is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in behavioral health and wellness of First Responders. Since 2010, Dr. Benson has worked closely with Law Enforcement and Fire agencies across the State of Florida to promote positive social change and advocacy in the field of First Responder mental health.

Rachel Menger, M.A.
Licensed Mental Health Counselor / Clinic Coordinator - Clearwater
Rachel Menger, M.A., has been a member of Tampa Bay Psychology Associates since 2019. Appointed to the position of Clinic Coordinator in 2023, Rachel has grown a local reputation for her resolution-focused work with clients suffering the effects of post-traumatic stress injuries and disorders.
Kristin Klimley, Psy.D.
Clinical Psychologist / Clinic Coordinator - St. Petersburg
Dr. Klimley specializes in trauma therapy, behavioral change, and substance use interventions. She has experience with the development and provision of behavioral health and peer support trainings First Responders statewide.
Johana Carrillo, M.Ed
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Johana specializes in substance abuse, trauma, and depression. Her work experience started at a substance abuse and mental health treatment center working with veterans, active military clients, and first responders. Johana also has experience working with a variety of domestic and interpersonal dynamics. Her clientele includes individuals, couples, and families.

Amanda Higgs, Psy.D.
Postdoctoral Resident
Dr. Amanda Higgs is a pre-licensed, clinical psychologist with training and experience working in and around law enforcement and the justice system for the last ten years. Dr. Higgs earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Forensics from Wright State University School of Professional Psychology.

John Rivera Jr, M.S.
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
John is a retired United States Marine from Carolina, Puerto Rico, passionate about helping those in need. During his 23-year service as a Marine Infantryman and later as a Regimental Operations Chief, he gained a wealth of experience shared between service members, law enforcement agencies, and first responders.
