Dr. Christian Antos, Psy.D.
Post-Doctoral Fellow
Dr. Christian Antos is a Postdoctoral Psychology Fellow at Tampa Bay Psychology Associates. He earned his PsyD in Clinical Psychology from National Louis University in Tampa and his EdM in Mental Health Counseling and Sport & Performance Psychology from Boston University. His clinical training has provided him with experiences across a range of settings, including general private practice, neuropsychological assessment clinics, psychiatric hospitals, and college counseling centers. His sport and performance psychology training has also included work with multiple NCAA Division I teams, athletes, and musicians. He recently completed his doctoral internship at Appalachian State University’s Counseling Center, where he provided individual counseling to college students while also working extensively with student-athletes, athletic teams, and the university’s ROTC program.
Dr. Antos brings a particular interest in the intersection of mental health, performance, and high-pressure environments. His background has shaped his approach to helping individuals manage high levels of stress and the psychological impact of demanding careers. He also enjoys teaching and presenting performance psychology strategies through workshops and trainings on topics such as emotional control, resilience, and effective functioning under pressure.
His clinical approach is grounded primarily in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), incorporating person-centered principles to meet each client’s individual needs. His clinical interests include depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, substance use, men’s issues, interpersonal functioning and relationships, and major life transitions. In his personal life, Dr. Antos is passionate about fitness and staying active, spending time outdoors either hiking or relaxing at the beach, watching (any and all) sports, and spending time with his wife and their three dogs.
